Project export allows preserving the current project outside of ReportFactory© Tagging tool. Project import allows for a project to be reverted to a previous state or to be imported under a new project name.
Project export
Project administrators can export a project by clicking Save as | Export file in the Project section of the ribbon\Project menu
In the Project export dialog that will appear, you can provide the description for the exported project (this is mandatory) and decide if you want to save the project file in the server's export directory, by selecting the Leave on server option or if you want to download the project file to your computer by selecting the Download local copy option
Click Export to start the export process
Project import
By clicking on “Import Project” in the main menu, the import dialog is opened.
The import section is divided in two parts. In the upper section, a previous, local exported project can be uploaded to the ReportFactory server. Therefore you have to choose the file via “Choose file” and search for the right project in the upcoming dialog. After that the project can be uploaded – by pressing uplpad. Now the project is ready to import. In the lower section you can see a table of all project exports, which are available on the server. By selecting the specific export it can be imported, deleted or downloaded – this can be done by clicking of one of the buttons.
- By clicking “Import” the import process is started. If there is already a project with the same project name exisiting in the ReportFactory, you will be asked to overwrite or to copy it with a new name.
- By clicking “Delete”, the selected export project file will be deleted from the server. A restoration of a deleted file is not possible.
- By clicking “Download” the selected export project file will be downloaded locally.
If the browser is closed during an import process, the import process will be canceled.
