Report package creation
Once the tagging has been completed, the tagging results can be packaged in a single archive (i.e. a zip file) containing:

  • The original report containing the embedded iXBRL tags
  • All of the media (e.g. images) referenced by the report that has been imported into the document
  • The extensions taxonomy package (regardless of whether actual extension positions have been created or not)
  • Depending on the license, the resulting XBRL instance

The report package is generated using the ESEF package creation tool that's accessed by clicking the ESEF package menu item located in the Send menu of the Project menu\ribbon section.
Upon opening the tool, the document for which the report package should be created can be selected from the drop-down menu in the Filing options panel. If there's only a single document in the project, that document will be selected by default.
Once the document has been selected, a preview of the tagged XHTML report will appear in the Submission preview panel. The report's contents will be automatically validated against the XHTML and iXBRL standards as well as against ESEF validation rules; any detected errors or non-conformances will be displayed in the Consistency checks panel.
Once all of the reported errors have been fixed (i.e. the Consistency checks panel is empty), clicking Package in the ESEF package menu\ribbon section will generate the report package for the document and the user will be prompted to save it locally for a manual submission at a later time. Alternatively, instead of the entire package, the generated XBRL instance itself can be downloaded for viewing by clicking Download XBRL in the ESEF package menu\ribbon section – under the condition that no validation errors exist
