Password change/Logout
A user must be logged in to change their password. The User menu located in the Account ribbon section on the top right offers the followingallows you to:
- Change Password
- Logout
To change the your password, please proceed as follows:
Select the menu item "Change Password". Then the following dialog appears:
"Current Password" - Please type here your old password, which shall be changed. Now enter in the input fields "New Password" and "Password repeat" the new password. Then confirm the entry by pressing the OK buttonclick Change password in the menu. The following dialog will appear:
To verify it's really you requesting this change, type the password you are currently logged in with into the Current password text input and then provide the desired password in the New password and Retype text inputs (the text provided in New password and Retype must match exactly). Confirm the change by clicking Save.
To log out, navigate to the User menu and click Logout. The login dialog appears again and re-login.

User management
Users are created and managed . A user must be assigned a in the administration area of ReportFactory© Tagging tool. Each user is identified by their login name, a real name, and a password.
New users are defined created by clicking the "New" button.

Three user roles can be assigned to each user:
- By placing a hook in the check box for the administrator role a user has administrator privileges. An administrator has the Selecting the Admin checkbox adds the user to the administrator role and provides them with administrative privileges including permission to access the administration section of the RF. Therefore he has the authorization to create new users or area as well as to create, modify, and delete users.
- By placing a hook in the check box for the domain user role a user is authorized Selecting the Domain user checkbox adds the user to the domain user role and authorizes them to work on report projects. Only a domain user can be assigned with rights in report projects.By placing a hook in the check box for the project creator role, a user is authorized to create report projects. In the report projects created by yourself a user has all permissions for the use of various reporting features and in addition individual permissions can be given to other users.

Only users who have the "domain user role" are restricted by the license quota. If a user has no assigned role, the user has no rights. A user without a role can be regarded as a disabled user. In Conclusion a user can loose its permissions (temporarily) by removing its roles. |

Only domain user role members are counted against the license quota. Users that don't belong to any role can't have permissions assigned to them and therefore can be regarded as disabled users. In other words, to disable a user and revoke their permissions, you can simply remove them from all roles they belong to. |
The role membership, details, and passwords of existing can be edited by clicking the Edit icon. Users can be deleted by clicking the Delete icon.
